Our duty and responsibilities includes the production and distribution of the TS&LI softwares, to all government approved primary and secondary schools in Nigeria. In another development, we also secure and maintain partnership with hardware manufacturers, to ensure the availability of equipments that are partly needed to actualise this world class initiative (i.e. teach, show and learn initiative).

Futhermore, we intend to organise a simplified training programme for Primary and Secondary School Teachers on how to use our equipments/gadgets to make teaching and learning easier and more meaningful, for the benefit of the two parties involved in teaching and learning process (i.e. the teacher and the learner).

WHAT ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN ALIG' EDUCATIONAL TECHOLOGIES AND HARDWARE MANUFACTURERS?

Our road map towards the actualisation of our initiative is making provision for a strong and reliable partnership between us and hardware manufacturers in Nigeria . This partnership is expected to make fourty-five percent (45%) contribution towards the implimentation and realisation of the Teach, Show and Learn Initiative.

WHAT IS THE FULL MEANING OF TS&LI?

TS&LI is the abbreviation for Teach, Show and Learn Initiaitve.

WHAT IS TEACH, SHOW AND LEARN INITIAITVE ALL ABOUT?

The meaning and concept of the Teach, Show and Learn Initiative was drawn from that of educational technology. This is because they share the same concept, principles, purpose and role. From a layman point of view, the teach, show and learn initiative may probably mean an initiative that encourages teachers to teach and also show learners what they need to know, so that effective learning will take place. According to the founder and owner of this initiative, the teach, show and learn initiative is an educational and technological initiative, that embrace and support the use of technology in education and equally provides technological solutions to problems that occure in the practice of lesson delivery.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE TEACH, SHOW AND LEARN INITIATIVE

The Teach, Show and Learn Initiative is all about the use of softwares and hardwares in the teaching and learning process as a means of solving educational problems which includes; improving our teaching and learning situation in the classroom. This initiative embraces effective means by which information can be best presented by teachers before their pupils or students. This implies that when we make appropriate use of the TS&LI softwares and hardwares, it would be often possible to improve the efficiency of Nigerian primary and secondary school teachers or quality of learning in the classroom. In another vein, this initiative adopted the systematic approach to teaching and learning, which has the principle role to make teaching simpler and learning more meaningful and interesting as a means of solving problems in education. Essentially, solving the problems in education implies, helping to improve the overall efficiency of the teaching and learning process which can manifest itself in the following ways;

- decrease the time taken for learners to attain desired goals.

- increase the efficiency of teachers in terms of numbers of learners taught without reducing the quality of learning.

- Increase the quality of learners or the degree of mastery.

Futhermore, the Teach, Show and Learn Initiative maintain that school teachers should be provided with softwares and hardwares like screens, projectors, laptop computers, compact disc containing relevant informations, pictures and short films of a subject area (e.g TS&LI compact disc). This will enable the teachers deliver quality lesson to the students and equally make learning easier and more meaningful to learners. Specifically, the Teach, Show and Learn Initiative was designed for all practicing teacher, primary school pupils and secondary school students. It will also assist the Nigerian Government to change the face of education.

The following below will be acheived from this historic initiative (Teach, Show & Learn Initiative).

- It will make learning more easier and meaningful.

- It will increase the efficiency of teachers during lesson delivery.

- Enhance the quality of teaching in the classroom.

- Help teachers to simplify teaching and learning.

- Encourage teachers to exhibit high level of professionalism towards lesson

   delivery.

- It will help the teacher to cater for a large number of learners at the same time.

- It will also awaken learners interest by the ability of the TS&LI softwares and hardwares to arouse their curiosity to know more.

- Make learning more permanent.

- It will equally Create impression that are so vivid and powerful that the pupil or students will hardly forget.

- Help the learner improve their defining power, thus making them authors of their own definitions and descriptions

- Help the teacher to show the learners what he has in mind to teach

- It will positively shape the mindset of the learners.

- Ensure every learner is carried along during lesson delivery.

WHO ARE THE MAJOR BENEFICIARIES OF THIS INITIATIVE?

They include;

1) Primary and Secondary school students.

4) Home Tutors.

5) Federal and State Ministry of Education.

PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS:

Is important to note that the difficulties faced by pupils and students of primary and secondary schools respectively, especially during learning process in the classroom are one of the major reasons why this initiative was initiated. Therefore, the utilisation of the TS&LI software and Hardware by the class teacher more easier for the pupils and students during teaching and learning process. They say 'children understand faster and better  from what they see with their own eyes' and this is the major reason why Alig's Educational Technology founded this initiative, that supports the use of teaching aid to  make learning easier and more meaningful, for all pupils and students in all the schools (i.e. primary and secondary) across Nigeria.

THE TEACHER:

They TS&LI Initiative is designed to help put an end to the struggles and difficulties faced by teachers, during lesson delivery in the classroom. Our yet to be produced softwares would be designed to enable teachers to teach and show the students what they have in mind, for effective learning to take place. Futhermore, this initiative will help enhance the quality of teaching in the classroom. It will also help the teacher to cater for a large number of learners at the same time. Finally, it will enhance teaching and improve the competence of teachers during teaching and learning process.

HOME TUTORS:

Home tutors are teachers who are making commendable effort, to extend teaching services to homes. We intend to design our software and acquire hardwares to accomodate the nature of teaching service rendered by home tutors. With the aid of our software and laptop computers, the home tutor will be empowered to apply the use of technology to make teaching easier and learning more meaningful for learners at home. In conclusion is important to note that home tutors and classroom teachers will enjoy uniform benefits but with slight difference that has to do with location and the number of learners before them.

FEDERAL AND STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

The purpose of educational technology could be drawn from the content of the 1977 national policy on education. In that document, it was reffered to as educational services with six main objectives which could be seen on the menu above 'AIMS AND OBJECTIVES'. The both ministries will benefit from thre TS&L Initiative, because our initiative is been designed to accomodate and implement at least three out of the six objectives set by the Federal Ministry of education. In that case, the Federal and State Ministry of Education will enjoy high level of assistance from the TS&LI Initiative, to accomplish the three set objectives on Educational services.
